New York Fashion Week once again took over the city with designers, models and celebs. From runway shows to parties, this is fashion's biggest week where us mere mortals get to peek at the latest trends for spring - let me just say, as I told QVC, the leather motorcycle jacket will be the hottest thing this year - when has it not been, though? I mean, you can pair the LMJ with jeans, black pants, a skirt, dress, or just about anything for an instant dose of edge! After interviewing Dennis Basso, who says his new designs were inspired by the romantic bohemian vibe and the well-traveled woman, I browsed the racks of gorgeous long gowns and coats. Before long, I was in a Lisa Rinna and Harry Hamlin sandwich - the Beverly Hills Housewife was in town with her husband to watch their model daughter walk in some of the season's biggest shows. While Lisa was in the midst of a paparazzi frenzy, I noticed her PR person texting with someone - oh yeah, just Paris Hilton, saying she was on the way. Jill Martin of the Today show was also backstage taking pics for Today's Instagram page while I went on a mission to find food, only to find that most of it had been eaten - I guess the models needed their energy before their big walk down the runway! After watching the practice walk and hair and makeup getting finished, it was almost show time! I made my way into the large venue which was packed with fashionistas and even more stars! It was like a whole galaxy! I saw Nicole Miller front row so made my way over to tell her how I met her at Sotheby's the week before - she took my hand and said it was lovely to see me again. Whether she really remembered meeting me or not was not the point; the point was that one of of the most famous fashion designers of all time who I grew up wanting to wear, was at least pretending she knew me - at another famous fashion designer's show! I made my way to my seat in the second row before a PR girl who recognized me shouted out to me to get up and had someone escort me to the front row- front row = see and be seen, and I was ready for both! I turned around and was sitting mere breaths away from Paris and Nikki Hilton who were snapping selfies. One of the models almost fell - the dress was long, so not hard to see why, but for a minute I thought the next day's headline was going to say "Model falls on All the fame none of the fortune girl!" Let's just say everyone survived the show unharmed..oh, and did I mention Paris even snapped a selfie with me?
