Celebrity Chef of the famed Tao Group, Chris Santos, celebrated the launch of his first cookbook, "Share," featuring his favorite recipes you can make for friends and family. While Chef Santos and Food Network star Ted Allen, host of Chopped, were getting their pictures taken, I of course had to make my way over! Note: Never let a good photo-op go to waste! When in doubt, always run get your picture taken..especially with a celeb! I told food stars that I couldn't cook and informed Ted Allen all about my eggtastic (you know, that thing where you could put eggs in and then stick it in the microwave - hey, it works!) Besides, I don't have time to cook when I'm meeting celebs, attending events and trying new restaurants! While sitting at the bar waiting for a drink, I turned around and standing in front of me was none other than Marcus Samuelsson, the genius behind Red Rooster and of the world's most famous restaurateurs. Next time I try calling Red Rooster for a reservation, I'm sure casually mentioning that Marcus and I were at the same private event will be enough to score a table! I forgot about the famous chefs once the fabulous food started going around, not to mention the huge, and I mean huuuuge cake in celebration of "Share." By the end of the night I was in the back room with Chef Santos' executive assistant and friends. I might even have talked my way into attending his next Hollywood restaurant launch next month..California here we come!
