Adios winter, hello spring! By now (most of us) have traded in our winter coats and scarves for bright colors and fun accessories. Uniqlo might be known for their lightweight down jackets which can easily fold up and be packed away into your handbags, but at the sneak peak of the Japanese brand's latest collection, Uniqlo is proving that they can make an even more fashion forward name for themselves - famous looks without only for the famous prices!
After listening to Tadashi Yanai, billionaire founder of Uniqlo and the Fast Retailing Chain speak
proudly about the new phase of Uniqlo and their innovations in fashion and comfort, the doors suddenly opened to a Fashion Candyland! From jeans to jackets to a Disney collection, the brand's newest designs were on display for the first time.
I watched the models show off their looks on a stage in the middle of the room as I stood next to Tadashi and Andrew Rosen, Theory founder, who I had rubbed elbows with at the FIT gala. These clothes were not just about style, they were serious about the whole innovation thing - scientists were demonstrating lightweight jackets by showing how they could remain in the air when attached to a large balloon, and demonstrations showed how the newest Uniqlo shirts were sweat and stain proof. Now you can look famous and be comfortably fashionable at the same time!
